Restaurant Review: Vietnamese Street Kitchen

Posted on 28/01/202428/01/2024

Have you tried VSK before?

We visited Vietnamese Street Kitchen today on the outside of the Bullring and had a really nice family meal.

With the Lunar New Year fast approaching, VSK is the place to choose if you’re looking to try some authentic vietnamese cuisine. It’s great for a date night or a catch-up with friends, but for those of us with kids, you’ll be thankful to know that it’s brilliant for little ones too with a really varied and well priced kids menu.

We headed along as a family of four and filled our tummies up nicely with delicious and filling food, commenting that we will definitely be back again to try more of the menu soon. We found it really hard to decide what to have as so many of the choices really jumped out at us.

We tried;

▪️ Grandma’s recipe of Bun Cha Ha Noi (£16.95). A large plate of fresh rice noodles, served with thinly sliced pork and king prawn meatballs, thinly sliced grilled pork belly, and traditional spring roll.

▪️ Big Bowl (£13.95): Crispy pork belly crackling (+£2.50), tender five spiced meat on a bed of egg fried rice (+£1.99) with fresh lettuce, cucumber, pickled carrots, herbs and nuoc mam sauce.

▪️ Sesame Sweet Chicken Wings (£7.99)

▪️ Crispy Chicken Bites served with sweet chilli sauce (£7.25)

▪️ Jemima chose the kids’ menu (£6.99) where she had chicken wings and pho with an apple juice.

▪️ Matilda chose the kids’ menu too (£6.99) and had the chicken bites and chips with a water.

We were really impressed with the options available for both adults and children. Something for all tastes and dietary requirements with gluten-free and vegan menus available if needed.

For a drink, I opted for the Melonchee from the mocktail menu. Melon, lychee, and elderflower (£5.95). It was tried and enjoyed by everyone on the table. And definitely what I will choose next time we go.

We didn’t have pudding as we were way too full. A sign you’ve eaten a really good meal.

The staff, as always, are wonderful here, really friendly, and deliver quick service.

There’s a few offers on at the moment, so don’t miss out:

▪️ Enjoy 2-4-1 on classic dishes until 31st Jan 2024. Download your voucher on their website.
▪️ In February, enjoy 20% off classic dishes (download your offer code from the VSK website and only valid on advanced bookings)
▪️ Cocktails two for £14

Did you know? There’s also a VSK at Resorts World, Birmingham, B40 1PU.
