Tiny Dancers by Oneday Theatre

Posted on 23/09/2018

Event: Tiny Dancers for ages 0-5 years by Oneday Theatre
Location: Moorpool Hall, Harborne,
Time: Tuesdays 9:30am and 10:30am

Me and Jemima headed over to the first session of Tiny Dancers last week run by the lovely Meg of Oneday Theatre. We didn’t really know fully what to expect, so we were both very excited to see what we were going to be doing.

We pulled up in the car at Moorpool Hall and I immediately fell in love with the venue. Such a beautiful quaint little building from the outside, and yet quite large inside. I almost felt like I had jumped inside Mary Poppins handbag. Or even into the wardrobe of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. It was beautiful.

We were greeted by Meg who we loved from the moment we met her. Friendly, great with kids and giving off an energy that felt contagious. Meg has an abundance of energy and is multi talented with the ability to sing, dance and play musical instruments. All qualities that are used incredibly well during her 50 minute session.

The session is aimed at preschool children under 5. There were a number of very young children there but the session has so much for everyone that it worked well for all the children. And parents too, as I had a great time. I’ve chosen to do a term here, so at the end of the first half term I will write a full detailed account of what happens in each class as I become familiar with welcome songs and lesson plans.

The session we attended was fantastic and we are looking forward to Tuesday already. Jemima got to play in bubbles, play with a parachute, use various musical instruments, sing songs, dance, use props and many other things. All designed to develop not only a child’s confidence but also following Eyfs, helping with gross motor and communication skills.

If you’re looking for a class to take your child to, then I would highly recommend that you consider this as one of them. Perfect for boys and girls aged 5 and under.

Disclaimer: We were invited along in return for an honest review. We enjoyed the first session so much that we are going to continue the term. Surely that’s an indication the class was great? 🙂
