The Waterfront, A Hungry Horse Pub

Posted on 11/04/201806/07/2018

Venue: The Waterfront, 4 Waterfront North Leisure, Wolverhampton Rd, Walsall, WS2 8DH

Opening Times: 11am – 11pm Monday to Friday. Saturdays and Sundays 10am – 11pm.

On Tuesday we took the girls to see Peter Rabbit and came out of the cinema at 11:50am a little hungry.

We hadn’t had any popcorn and drinks (the queue was huge), so lunch was definitely needed, and an early lunch at that.

Next door to the cinema is The Waterfront, a Hungry Horse pub and they were advertising some Easter Holiday specials outside.

We decided to go in and make use of the offers.

A waitress came over and took our drink order, almost immediately and popped back a bit later for our food order and to give the girls some colouring paper and crayons. We went for the £15 family Easter special which included two large portions of chips, two fish finger burgers, two chicken strip burgers, four beef burgers with lettuce on, four corn on the cobs, about twenty onion rings and a portion of beans.

And it didn’t end there… It also included a giant family ice cream sharer which was filled with chocolate ice cream, vanilla ice cream, squirty cream, maltesers, m&ms, two full size twix fingers and 4 pieces of a large chocolate chip cookie wedged into the sides of the gigantic sundae bowl.

Perfect for our family of four. If a little much as we did leave some of our main and some of our dessert.

With our meal and our drinks we spent £20 which we thought for a family of four was fantastic.

If you go, we recommend asking to look at the dessert counter and ice cream counter. They’re tucked at the back of the restaurant and we only saw them after we had paid the bill and popped to the toilets. I’m sure my husband would have had one of the fancy ice creams if he had seen them before we were leaving.

Hey, if you liked this review or maybe were inspired to try this out because of my post, you can always buy me or the kids a drink or a slice of cake on our next big trip! Just hit the button below, if you want to. 🙂
