Motionhouse have done it again. Wowed, inspired, entertained and created yet another spectacular piece of dance-circus theatre.
Sunday we headed to Warwick Arts Centre to watch Starchitects. A show that is due to tour the UK over the next year and if there’s a family friendly show to impress every member of the family, this is the one to book.
Starchitects tells the story of five children at a sleep over who want to reach the moon from their bedroom. Will they manage to? You’ll have to get tickets to find out.
Motionhouse were the performers of choice to open Birmingham Commonwealth Games in Centenary Square earlier this year and it was during that opening performance that I fell in love with their ability to perform incredible circus/dance moves, really thinking outside of the box and pushing their skills to the extreme. Motionhouse are phenomenal and it was wonderful to see them performing this latest creation to a theatre of all ages.
Starchitects uses digital imagery, epic circus/gymnastic moves, costumes and props to create an exciting, fun and awe-inspiring show, performed by the most incredible performers that really engage with the audience. My girls were besotted with the cast and were so excited to meet them at the Meet and Greet after. What I really enjoyed was how talkative they were after. They could have just said hello and posed for photos, but they were all really interested in what Matilda and Jemima liked the best in the performance and that was so lovely to see.
This hour long show is the perfect length for little people (the show is recommended for ages 3 plus)
