Silver Tree Bakery, Sutton Coldfield

Posted on 13/12/202006/03/2022

What an absolutely amazing place.

We headed to Silvertree Bakery (located on Water Orton Lane, B76 9BG) yesterday which opened last weekend and it is so christmassy and magical. You feel like you could be in Scandinavia with the wooden chalet, fire pit and picnic benches. They have some Christmas trees too and wooden reindeers to add to the christmassy feel.

It is one family in the chalet (where the food and drinks are served) at a time at the moment which made it feel incredibly safe. An array of breads, cakes and pastries to choose from along with toasties (served after 11am) and breakfast sandwiches (before 11am). You could get hot and cold drinks and crisps too.

It was such a lovely little trip out. We sat by the log fire when we arrived, whilst hubby held our place in the queue.

I had a garlic mushroom and cheese toastie which was divine. Matilda chose a ham and cheese toastie which she really enjoyed. They also had a christmas toastie available on the menu – turkey, brie and cranberry which sounded very tempting too.

Waiting for our toastie to be given to us

Jemima chose a pain au chocolate which she really enjoyed and a hot chocolate. We ordered one adult one but the staff kindly seperated it into two small cups so the girls could have one each.

We also tried the chocolate and hazelnut babka and the lemon meringue pie. Both were great. The lemon meringue especially.

We will be back again very soon as we LOVED it. A fabulous new addition to the Sutton Coldfield region.

Hi Lesley. Please do contact Silver Tree Bakery regarding employment opportunities. I am just a customer who reviewed the bakery when I visited. Thank you, All the best, Kelly.
