Shirley Aquatics

Posted on 10/04/201806/07/2018

Location: Shirley Aquatics, Becketts Farm, Wythall,
Open: 9am-6pm Mon to Sat, 10am – 4pm on Sundays.

We popped along to Shirley Aquatics after we had been to the marquee outside @beckettsfarm and thought we would have a look at the fish.

I wasn’t going to write a post about the place, but on second thoughts I decided it was worth a mention as it was such a well put together aquatics centre.

The main novelty for me and for the other customers from listening to the conversations, was the huge shark tank they had, with sharks swimming around in it. This was up on the first floor (lift is available for pushchairs and wheelchairs). They had three very comfy settees facing the tank, so you could sit down and enjoy a leisurely watch of the sharks. Upstairs they also had a large number of fish tanks to purchase, some costing over £2000 that were massive (and amazing) and me and my hubby discussed (dreamed) how we would have one in our next, bigger house.

Downstairs there were many more fish and also a reptile area with snakes, lizards and tortoises in.

The girls loved looking around it. Jemima wasn’t so keen on one of the reptiles. I have to agree with her though. I’m not so keen.

So if you’re near to the area, fancy purchasing some fish or reptiles, or even just having a nosey @shirleyaquatics is the place to pop to.
