Yesterday we headed to Star City to take the girls for their first rollerskating experience. During the school holidays the centre of Star City has been transformed with a large rollerskating rink.
We headed to the rink for 1pm, handed over our shoes and got given rollerskates (start from kids size 9), protective helmets, wrist guards, knee pads and elbow pads. There were going to be no injuries for our little novices.
We headed onto the rink with one of the members of staff who helped Matilda and tried to teach her to skate. There was lots of laughing as everyone was getting used to skating and sliding all over the place.
It wasn’t too long before both girls could go around the rink without nearly falling over (with the help of me and their Daddy holding their hands).
It was such great family fun and the perfect way to spend an hour on a Saturday afternoon.
You could really make a day of the trip, as Star City is the ideal location to have Food, a Film and lots of Fun. Check out my previous posts when we reviewed Adventure Golf at Star City and the Pottery Painting.
We combined our trip yesterday with a yummy lunch at @nandosuk
and Star City were doing free face painting – hence my two tigers on the rink.
A perfect place to go to during the summer holidays, with everything under one roof. You could even pop to watch the new Christopher Robin film. Me and Matilda are going tomorrow and cannot wait.
