Pottery Painting @ Family Fun Zone

Posted on 12/04/201806/07/2018

Venue: Family Fun Zone
Location: Ground Floor of Star City, Nechells, Birmingham
Opening Times: Weekends, school holidays and Bank Holidays 12pm to 8pm

This Easter holidays, Family Fun Zone in Star City is open and its definitely worth a visit if you are popping over that way to the cinema or to the crazy golf (review of the crazy golf later). Family Fun Zone has activities for the whole of the family and as a bonus is supporting and raising money for a local children’s charity called free@last. The centre has an Arts and Crafts section which is what we took advantage of today but also has archery, target shooting and a soft play area.

The pottery painting was good fun. Matilda chose a gingerbread man hanging decoration to paint for £3.50.

There were plenty of things to choose from to paint, with small decorations being priced between £4-£6, medium sized £6-£7 and large decorations £7 plus.

When you choose your decoration to paint, you get given a tray of paints, two paintbrushes, a pot of water and a brown paper bag to transport your painted decoration home with you at the end of your visit. At your table you also have a disposable apron to wear too.

Matilda loved being able to paint freely what colours she wanted on her gingerbread man and not worry about getting the table or herself messy.

We spent a good 45 minutes here painting. Matilda ended up having a second gingerbread man to paint (Daddy may have accidentally broken the arm off her first one when he dropped it) and I chose a caterpillar money box for £5 to paint for Jemima.

A great little activity for an hour, that isn’t too expensive.
