Location: Oak Tree Farm, Stonnall, Walsall
Price: FREE (£2.50 if you would like to purchase a bucket of feed)
During half term week I took Matilda to Oak Tree Farm for the morning.
We love Oak Tree Farm as it’s not too far from where we live and you don’t have to spend a penny if you don’t want to (although we always get a bucket of food as Matilda loves to feed the animals).
There’s a variety of animals here including pigs, ducks, chickens, peacocks, goats, horses, ponies and lambs etc. You can feed all of them excluding the horses.
Matildas favourite animal has always been a pig and there’s a few here to feed.
Matildas favourite this time were the new baby lambs. I’m sure she gave them half her bucket of food.
My favourites are the goats, but by the time we get to them, Matilda has always given away all of her food.
There’s handwashing facilities, toilets and baby changing facilities.
The farm has a great play area for toddlers with a wooden play house, ride ons, slides, diggers and balance equipment.
It’s set on a field where you can have your picnics too on some picnic benches or your own picnic blanket if you bring one.
So if you’re looking for somewhere to spend a couple of hours with the kids this summer, having fun but also wanting to save your money, then this is the place for you.
It never seems overly busy either which is perfect.
