Noels Bar and Restaurant

Posted on 08/06/201906/03/2022

Thursday night and Friday night saw the Pre launch events for Noels Bar and Restaurant located in the picturesque location of Waterfront Walk, overlooking the canal.

We were kindly invited along to the prelaunch and were lucky enough to have a sneaky peek at the beautiful interior, exterior, food and drinks.

Noels is a very upmarket, contemporary venue, offering creative cuisine using fresh ingredients inspired by the Mediterranean. Noel’s ambition is to be the best charcoal fired grill in Birmingham, offering a range of specially sourced fine cuts from master butcher Aubrey Allen.

Their pasta and ravioli is made fresh every morning by their artisan pasta makers, dressed with beautifully paired sauces.

The menu is extensive, offering various choices to suit all tastes (and food requirements).

Some of the choices that jumped off of the menu for me are:

Crispy calamari with black garlic mayonnaise (priced at £8.50)

Half of barbequed pineapple chicken with chilli pineapple salsa, served with buttered green beans, grilled tomato, field mushroom and chipped potatoes (priced at £15.50)

Chargrilled chump of Cornish Lamb served pink with capers, mint and tomato salsa (priced at £22.50)

Lemon Verbena Crema Catalana, lemon curd and crispy meringue (V) (priced at £6.50)

There’s a huge variety including pastas, pizzas, chargrilled, traditional, vegetarian, meat. It’s a restaurant where there’s a meal for everyone.

The drinks menu is even more extensive than the food menu, at 24 pages long including everything from a bottle of Armond de Brignac Brut 150cl (champagne) for £1000 to a bottle of Prosecco for £30.

Pints of draught beer and cider (Peroni, Meantime London Lager and Cornish Orchards Cider) are £5 for a pint. Bottled beer and cider is between £4-4.50 each.

Cocktails (alcoholic) are priced between £7.95 – £12.50 with 34 to choose from. If you’re not a drinker, there’s a variety of mocktails priced at £4.50.

Hot drinks and soft drinks start from £2.25 upwards and there’s a variety of options to choose from including Fevertree bottles, juices, fizzy drinks, a variety of teas and coffees.

The wow factor of this venue is immediate. From the moment you walk up to the entrance, to walking around the venue, taking a seat and even the toilets. Everything has been well thought out and quality is emphasised throughout.

Here’s some pictures taken from inside the venue:

If you want elegant and quality entwined together, then this is the venue for you.

Thank you for our invite.

Noels has opened today at 12pm.

It is open daily from 12pm to 12am.

Location: 22 Waterfront Walk, Birmingham, B1 1SN
