Mountains of the World Adventure Golf

Posted on 17/04/202106/03/2022

A 12 hole, Mountains of the World themed outdoor mini golf course has arrived at Planters Garden Centre, opening for the first time TODAY and we headed along to putt our skills to the test. We were told we were officially the first people to try the course as they hadn’t yet tried it themselves. Which we were chuffed about.

This fun packed activity that takes approximately 40 minutes to get around costs just £5 a person and sees you playing golf on Mount Fuji, The Matterhorn, Mount Everest, Mount Rushmore and 8 other iconic mountains from around the world.

A perfect trip out for couples, a group of friends, families and even as a solo player too.

We had a brilliant time. It was such a nice morning. We booked online for the 9:30am slot. Booking online was really easy and when we arrived we just quoted our names and they found us on the system nice and easy.

You get to choose 1 score card and pencil for the group, a golf ball each – the girls loved having the chance to choose which colour they wanted and then we all chose a golf club each. Golf clubs come in various sizes, tiny ones perfect for toddlers up to full size ones for adults.

The course is well designed. It’s not too hard but not too easy either. Only 2 of us scored a hole in 1 (one adult and one child, just the once each), and the courses need some skill. Will you go through the tunnels or try and swerve around the outside?

It’s a great way to teach children (and yourself) about the mountains too as there’s information as you approach each hole.

Hubby liked that there was, in each section, a handy table to put the score card and pencil down on. Usually we end up having to pass the score card to each other as we each take our turns to putt, but with the table, we could just place it down.

We found no faults with this course. It was a brilliant course that we will come back and do again over the summer holidays.

It is open Monday to Saturday, 9am – 5pm and Sundays 10:30am – 4pm.

You can find the course at Planters Garden Centre, Trinity Road, Freasley, Tamworth, B78 2EY.
