Messy Me Splash Mat

M.E.S.S.Y. M.E

Have you heard of Messy Me? They are the providers of the best quality splash mats, aprons and covers that I’ve come across. Made from hard wearing oil cloth making it easy to wipe clean, you are also able to put it through the washing machine on an occasional wash at 30 degrees.

A couple of months ago we got a soft grey stars splash mat from Messy Me (check out the range at Messy Me Website) and a couple of weeks ago I said to my husband ‘why didn’t we have one of these five years ago’. In just a couple of months we have used it so many times (at least once daily) and it has saved our carpet from being stained so many times. I wish we had known about them five years ago, as they are a life (carpet) saver. One of these mats would be the perfect baby shower gift as it will be something that the parents will use over and over again for a long time. Something really worthwhile. And if you’re doing baby led weaning? This is a must before you get started.

We use it for breakfast, lunch and dinner time under the high chairs, we use it as a play mat (great for playdoh activities, cake making, colouring, painting and craft work)

and we always take it out with us on our picnics.

And it doesn’t matter what the girls have spilt or dropped on it, it always wipes straight off. The mat even after a couple of months of usage, still looks as clean as the day it arrived in the post.

Some of the great key points for me are;

  • It’s 90cm x 120cm
  • Lightweight
  • Easy to carry
  • It meets Oeko-Tex Standard 100
  • Is BPA and phthalate free
  • Washable

Perfect for little ones and adults alike and a great accompaniment for your days out. Check out the site for so many lovely styles and designs.

We are going to be using it as a surface to make some cakes for the school cake sale this week. Watch out for updates of that on twitter @mummytrips.

Disclaimer: We were gifted a Messy Me Splash Mat in return for an honest review. We would recommend getting one of these mats to all of our followers. We only wish we had known about them sooner.

Hey, if you liked this review or maybe were inspired to try this out because of my post, you can always buy me or the kids a drink or a slice of cake on our next big trip! Just hit the button below, if you want to. 🙂
