Melbicks Garden Centre, Coleshill

Posted on 04/04/201806/07/2018

Location: Melbicks, a Wyevale Garden Centre, Chester Rd, Coleshill

Last week we popped along to Paulos Circus which was in the car park of Melbicks. After we finished, we decided to pop in and have a look around.

The garden centre was a great place to go to for a couple of hours with little ones. The cafe had plenty of options to choose from and also had a soft play section too.

We didn’t go in to the cafe to eat, instead we purchased a family pie from the butchers which is in the garden centre, to take home to cook. The food section was really good with a variety of fresh meats, homemade lasagne, various sides such as minted potatoes and you just pay for the amount that you want. They had a nice selection of cakes too (yes, I always mention cakes when I see them).

The girls loved looking at the fish but were disappointed to find that the pet corner had no pets in. I had told them how it had a great animal section, so they had their expectations high. I’d purchased my rabbit from here over ten years ago, and they had loads of animals then.

The toy section in the garden centre was of a good size for the girls; a selection of books, toys and games complete with quite large sections of popular characters, such as Peppa Pig, Fireman Sam and The Gruffalo. They had a play table with a train and train track on which the girls enjoyed playing on with a little boy that was playing too.

You could easily come here for a couple of hours and have a nice time. We didn’t venture outside to see what was out there as it was cold, but in the summer I imagine they probably have wooden sheds and play houses outside. If you have been, could you let me know if they have things outside for little ones?

Excuse the quality of the photos. They were taken on my mobile.
