Location: Little Dessert Shop, Mulberry Walk, Mere Green, Sutton Coldfield.
Earlier in December, just after Jemima had been poorly, we decided to have a Friday treat and head over to the Little Dessert Shop in Mere Green.
We arrived just after midday and it was lovely and quiet and incredibly clean. We chose our table and had a look at the extensive dessert menu.
Jemima chose a Ho Ho Ho Christmas Santa Waffle with items to decorate it with; white chocolate flavoured ice cream, red velvet cake, chocolate curls, sprinkles, smarties and white chocolate sauce. I think there was some cream and a wafer too. All for £5.95. I’m unsure what Jemima enjoyed most, decorating it or eating it.
I chose a chocolate fudge cake, warmed up and served with whipped cream. It was immense. Its currently boxing day as I write this and I could eat a slice right now. Which says a lot as I’m still full from my Christmas Dinner.
For drinks, Jemima chose a fruit shoot and I had a hot chocolate. Jemima liked my hot chocolate that much, she shared it with me. And told me “mummy I love your drink”. Our bill came to less than £14 which I thought was great for the two of us who had indulged lots.
We will be heading back in the new year with Matilda, so she can try it too. It’s only fair that she gets a chance to have a smile as big as Jemima did (so big it practically closed her eyes) whilst there.
