Light Trails in and around the Midlands

Posted on 23/10/202223/10/2022

Wrapping up warm on a cold winters night and heading off to a light trail is a perfect way to spend a winters evening. Have you been to a light trail before?

Our personal favourite last year was Winter Glow UK and this year they’re going bigger and better at the Three Counties Showground. This year’s light trail is called “A Christmas Odyssey” and the giant dragon shared on their Instagram page (@winterglowuk) has filled me with excitement for this year.

The Illuminated Arboretum at National Memorial Arboretum is another highly recommended trail from us. 150 acres of woodland covered in lights. It is such a beautiful light trail.

Warwick Castle have #Christmasatthecastle which includes an evening light trail. A completely new way to see the beauty of the Castle.

Have you heard of Luminate Live? They are bringing captivating light trails across the UK this year at 8 different locations and we in the Midlands will be able to enjoy them in three; Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Coombe Abbey and Shugborough Hall. Three absolutely stunning venues for this light trail. And with every booking made Luminate promise to plant a tree. How great is that!

Cotswold Farm Park have an Enchanted Light Trail . If you use code WARDROBE (until Nov 24th) you can save 10% on your ticket price. Any guesses what the theme might be this year?

If you are looking for an Enchanted Light Trail with snow bubbles, a disco and photo opportunities then Wethele Manor will be the light trail for you.

Last year The Enchanted Gardens Light Trail by Webbs of Wychbold was loved by so many and incredibly popular. A must visit.

The award-winning Illuminated Light Trail Lightopia is back at Alton Towers and this time it comes with a brand new grand water show finale.

Trentham Gardens will be transformed again this year as a stunning light trail is placed all around Trentham Estate.

Christmas at Belton House promises to be even more magical this year, with a new after-dark illuminated trail transforming the gardens with over a million twinkling lights and seasonal sounds.

And finally enjoy a magical atmosphere of a Nordic Winter at Chatsworth House and Garden light trail and themed illuminated display.

Which one are you tempted to book?
