Today we all went along to the VIP Press Night Launch of Jelly Invaders. It was a great evening and fell on the perfect date – Matildas 5th Birthday. So she got the chance to be one of the first people to see the new and exciting exhibit. It is open from tomorrow for the public and will be a nice addition to the already attractive and well laid out Sealife Centre.

The Jelly Invaders section was larger than I was expecting. It was a dark room with UV lights which lit up and highlighted the various jellyfish in the tanks within the walls. There were 5 different varieties of jellyfish from various parts of the world. My favourite were the upside down jellyfish – make sure you check them out when you go.

A nice touch for the kids is getting them dressed in neon clothes when you go – the UV lights make the clothes light up and add to the fun of the room.

Another new exhibit that we had not seen before was the piranha tunnel. The girls and @tobecomemum’s son loved running through it, following one another, being able to get so close to the piranhas.

This evening they allowed us a sneaky peek behind the scenes in the research and breeding room. We got to see some baby jelly fish, shrimps (sexy shrimps and cleaner shrimps) and stingrays. It was fantastic to be able to have the opportunity to be nosey and see what happens behind the scenes. We were told that you can pay to access that area, although I’m unsure how much it is.

I asked the girls what their favourite parts were:

Jemimas was stroking the starfish

And Matildas was playing in the soft play section (there’s a ball pool area and climbing bits). Do check out my post from Dec 27th 2017 and 31st July 2017 when I last reviewed the Sealife Centre for more details and pictures about the attraction.
The current 4d film is The Octonauts. Which is my two girls favourite.

Thank you The Sealife Centre for having us and thank you @tobecomemum for being such great company.

Do pop back on here and leave comments when you’ve been to see the new exhibit. I’d love to know what you think of it too.
