We were kindly invited along by The Mac to review this family friendly show which was imaginative and well thought out. The production incorporated use of all five of our senses whilst moving around various parts of The Mac whilst watching performances. We drank and ate, we smelt, we moved, we felt and we heard. The show was inclusive for everyone ensuring that all of the audience members could participate.
With two young children (the youngest in the audience) we were a little worried how they would be in a show that didn’t have seats. But we needn’t have worried. The show was interactive enough to keep their attention and the actors and actresses worked very hard to welcome the children and make them a part of the show. Passing balls to them, dancing with them and letting them play the musical instruments.
It was clear that the actors had worked very hard on perfecting their parts and we thought they did a very good job.
Well done to you all, for thinking outside of the box and giving us a family theatre experience to remember.
Inclusivity at its best.
