Love a roll-top bath? Me too. So you’ll want to discover more about Hotel Indigo in Coventry.
If you’re looking for a stylish boutique hotel in Coventry, Hotel Indigo Coventry is the perfect choice. Opened in January 2024, this contemporary hotel blends modern luxury with the city’s rich heritage, offering a unique and immersive experience for both leisure and business guests.

Situated in Friargate, right next to Coventry Railway Station, Hotel Indigo Coventry offers convenience for those travelling by train but also by car too, as the train station multi-story offers car parking (at a reduced rate).
Locally, guests can easily explore top attractions like Coventry Cathedral, Herbert Art Gallery, and Coventry Transport Museum that are all within easy walking distance. Just outside the hotel, you can also hire bicycles from West Midlands Cycle Hire for those who want to explore the city on two wheels.

Inside of the hotel, each of the 101 boutique-style rooms are inspired by the city’s history, with three unique design themes:
The Spinning Wheel – A tribute to Coventry’s textile and bicycle industry, featuring crafted, intricate designs.
Motor City – Reflecting Coventry’s automotive heritage with a blend of historical and contemporary elements.
Re-imagining & Regeneration – A fusion of old and new, mirroring the city’s evolving landscape.
It’s a really nice touch and shows a lot of thought in the creation of this hotel. But then there’s thought in every aspect of this lovely hotel, from the moment that you enter it. It’s not every day that you find an old Austin Healey in the hotel foyer.

The rooms are perfect, and the Super King Suite (room 414) that we stopped in was the best hotel room that I have ever stayed in. And I’ve stayed in a lot over the years.

All guests (regardless of room type) can enjoy luxurious Hypnos beds with Egyptian cotton linen (so comfortable!), spa-inspired bathrooms, high-speed Wi-Fi, and 40” flat-screen TVs (I really loved that the TV had a welcome message to the person who had booked the hotel room). Premium rooms and suites are also equipped with Nespresso coffee machines, adding an extra touch of indulgence.
The roll top bath in our bathroom, his and hers sinks, and the rainforest shower were huge winners for me. The bathroom was huge and such a nice space to spend time in.

One of the (many) hotel’s standout features is Cogs Restaurant and Bar, which showcases the best of Warwickshire’s local produce with a menu that gives a nod to different parts of Coventry, including Lady Godiva and boxer Bradley Goldsmith.

The open kitchen concept creates an interactive dining experience (it is great to be able to see the chefs preparing the food), while the stylish bar with 100 seats is ideal for pre or/and post-dinner drinks. The bar also has a wine wall, which is a great feature for wine lovers.

The food and drinks we tried were delicious. I opted for The Knockout smash burger for my main and we chose the crispy squid with a lemon and coriander dip and crispy beef strips with a chipotle sauce for starters. All of the food was divine. SO tasty!

We also tried breakfast on the next day. You could help yourself to a continental or full cooked breakfast, or you could order items on the menu to be delivered to your table. I enjoyed a selection from the buffet but also ordered some porridge to come to the table. I was really impressed and for £20 you could enjoy a large range of food items and drinks too.

For those who like to work out, the hotel has a small but perfectly formed fitness suite – perfect for maintaining a workout routine.
