We had a spooktacular Saturday at Hagley’s Haunted House by Webbs Garden Centre and it did not disappoint!
Brand new for 2024, this haunted house experience is the perfect Halloween treat for those aged 12 and under.
Knock on the haunted house door, and enter at your own peril! As the door opens, you walk into a dark, candlelit room where Bella, the Wych Elm ghost greets you, along with an irresistibly creepy piano that my two couldn’t help but play.
Once you have explored the room, it’s time to step into Lord Lyttleton’s eerie bed chamber with ensuite privvy! This room is complete with a live actor and quirky photo-opportunities, including beside a skeleton on the toilet and one behind bars!
Lord Lyttleton plays his role well, engaging with the children and ensuring they enjoy the haunted house experience.
Finally, we entered the Wicked Witch’s kitchen, where she was brewing up all kinds of potions – have you ever heard of Rat Poo potion? No, I hadn’t either. Not sure I’d like to purchase some.
The wicked witch talks through her potions and engages with the children in the room, making it fun and interactive.
Outside the Haunted House, pumpkin bowling was a hit! The kids loved knocking down the skittles before heading into the carving tent. Webbs has everything set up for pumpkin carving, including stencils and battery-powered candles for your creations. Dracula was also on hand to offer help and even cut the tops off the pumpkins.
The experience ends with a stroll through the misty graveyard, complete with funny tombstones to bring a smile to your face.
This event is perfect for children aged 12 and under. For those who want a real scare, the evening sessions promise to be much more terrifying!
This brand-new Halloween experience is available at West Hagley. The Wychbold, and Cheltenham Webbs locations are offering pumpkin carving. Will you dare to visit?
