10 FREE Things to Do, Feb Half Term

Posted on 19/02/2023

Are you looking for FREE things to do, this half-term in the Midlands? Then you have come to the right website post.

School holidays can be expensive and we want you to be able to have as much fun as possible, without spending money that (with the rising cost of living), we could all do with saving.

We hope that you’ll find one or two things that tickle your fancy, and if you think this post is helpful, please do share it with your friends.

Here are our Top 10 favourite FREE trips out;

1) There’s a brand new outdoor Stay and Play at Pillaton Hall Farm with sand and water play, a tractor to climb on and a bouncing pillow. Dotties takeaway and bar will also be open if you fancy a hot drink/treat.

2) Love a fairy trail? Wm Wheat and Son Garden Centre have a fairy trail for you to wander around. Bring a picnic and enjoy looking at the fabulous displays at your own pace. Bring a pen and paper for the wish tree, too!

3) If you have a Julia Donaldson fan, pop along to National Memorial Arboretum who have indoor screenings of ‘Stick Man’ before continuing outdoors on the Stick Man trail around the Arboretum. 20th-24th Feb.

4) The Thinktank Science Garden opens to the public from 3pm for FREE.

5) Explore aircraft from years gone by and play in the brand new themed playground at RAF Cosford.

6) Explore a quaint village walled garden, with bird hide and sensory garden at Elford Hall Garden.

7) If you’re a musical family, B: Music has a number of musical workshops and music sessions at the Symphony Hall.

8) If you have a little geologist, Bear Bookshop have a Geology Day on 20th Feb where you can come and learn about different rocks and fossils.

9) Story writers and creators will enjoy the story creation session at How Brave is the Wren on 22nd Feb, 10am-5pm.

Priory Park, Malvern

10) Why not visit one of the many parks in our FREE playground post? Malvern Playground and Bit End Field in Whittington are our personal favourites. Take a look at our post on Instagram, where we list our favourite FREE Playgrounds to visit FREE Playgrounds in the Midlands.
