It is the Easter Holidays finally, Yay! And I’m thankful that I have no school runs for two whole weeks. We live right by the girls school but there’s nothing better than lazy mornings where you do not have to rush to get ready for a certain time in the morning. And I’ve been longing to have some full days with my girls.
That being said, anyone who knows me, knows that I will be spending a lot of our School holidays, out and about exploring the world (well, the Midlands. Ha!). And not lazing at home.
If you too are like me and like to get out and about, I want to share one of my favourite apps (and websites) with you all. It’s https://www.clubhubuk.co.uk
It is a completely FREE, Multi Award Winning Kids Activities Directory, app and website, suitable for parents with children from newborns to 18 years of age.
And it is one of the many ways that I find out some of the fun groups that I attend with Matilda and Jemima.
The website has over 6000 kids activity providers signed up, so there’s a huge variety of classes and groups to consider. Everything from phonics sessions with the wonderful Sounds Right Phonics, gymnastics, ballet, martial arts, theatre classes, Mum2mum markets, soft play centres, inflatable fun sessions, parties… The list is endless and varies according to the age of your children (which you can input) and location. You can choose how many miles you mind travelling which is a great addition too.
One of the things I really like is the way that you can contact the activity providers easily through the app. There’s no time consuming faffing around. It’s simple and easy to use. Just what you need when you have impatient children running around your feet and you are eager to find something to do, quickly.
How to use the website/app
Download the app and then click ‘need an account’.
Fill in your information and click sign up.
If you are looking for classes to attend, click ‘CLUB SEEKER’.
Add location/postcode, child’s age and child’s interest and click search.
The list of classes in your area will all appear then and you can browse through to decide which class you want to attend.
The top class in my local area is Sounds Right Phonics sessions which me and Jemima already attend and love. Check out our review of these fantastic classes here: https://smallhousebigtrips.co.uk/the-new-term-of-sounds-right-phonics/
You can click on the listing to read more information including price and contact details.
And it is as simple as that. You could be booked on or just aware of the time and can head off to the session that you are interested in.
Another one of Jemimas favourite classes are Ballet Tots with Kids Lets Dance and it’s nice to see them on the app too.
Again, check out our review of these sessions here, to see the quality of the sessions and classes advertised on this site: https://smallhousebigtrips.co.uk/ballet-bears/
So if you’re looking for things to do over the Easter Holidays and once they’re finished too, why not download the app and give it a try.
