Brainiac Live

Posted on 28/12/2025

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Explosive, educational and endlessly entertaining

If your idea of the perfect family trip out involves big bangs, bursts of fire and lots of “WOAH!” moments, then Brainiac Live! absolutely delivers.

Fresh from winning the 2025 Olivier Award for Best Family Show, this science sensation storms into Birmingham Town Hall with boundless energy and just the right amount of mayhem. It’s loud, fast-paced and gloriously chaotic – in the best possible way.

We were introduced to Ed, Ned and Raz, who bring infectious enthusiasm to the stage. Their chemistry – spot-on, keeping kids (and grown-ups) hooked throughout. The audience reaction said it all: cheering, booing, giggling and clapping echoed around the hall as experiments exploded – sometimes literally – before our eyes.

Even the scene changes were cleverly handled. Instead of lulls, the Brainiacs kept everyone engaged with brainburners on the big screen. My personal favourite was the “how clever is your right foot?” moment – I won’t spoil it, but if you go, let me know if you can do it.

What really makes Brainiac Live! shine is how seamlessly it blends learning with fun. Kids are absorbing science concepts without even realising it, all while watching science demonstrations you’d definitely never attempt at home.

And a practical note for families: we sat on Row N where the tickets are £15 each and could see perfectly well – proof that you don’t need to splash out for a great view.

Explosive, educational and endlessly entertaining, Brainiac Live! is a brilliant family treat that genuinely earns its five stars.

You can catch the show tomorrow, Monday 29th at 11am and 2pm.

Can’t make it this week? You can also get tickets to see it when it arrives at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre in March.
