Bosworth Water Park

Posted on 07/05/201806/07/2018

Address: Bosworth Water Park, Wellesborough Road, Market Bosworth, Nuneaton, CV13 6PD

Opening Time: 9am – 7pm.

Price: £2 per hour parking

Bank Holiday Monday and a sunny one at that. Which means a day at the beach. If you’re like me and do not like the long drive to the seaside, then this is the beach for you and your family. Less than 40 minutes outside of Birmingham City Centre, you can find Bosworth Water Park, a man made beach.

There’s lots to do here and you can easily stay for the day. We always stop for 4 hours as me and the girls are like ghosts, so we like to hide from the sun.

The adventure play park is always a hit with the children. There’s so much for children to play on, a pirate ship and castle complete with wavy slides, an under 5s climbing frame with bridges and slides and an over 5s climbing frame with a silver tunnel slide. The park had some stepping stones and an adult and baby swing, so that you could swing together. Matilda really enjoyed this today. Just look at her face…

Feeling adventurous? You could hire out one of the many watersport activities on the lakes, or even a quiet pedalo. The girls loved the look of the pedalos and we were tempted, but it was £15 for 30 minutes and we decided we had plenty to do on the beach today with our sandcastles.

Make sure if you go that you take a picnic (complete with drinks as the cafe and shop are a little expensive) and enjoy a walk around the 50 acres of parkland and 20 acres of lakes.

The girls enjoyed a picnic in our UV protection tent that Mummy forgot to pack the poles for, so Daddy had to improvise. Ha.

The majority of our time today was spent on the blue lagoon beach and in the water. We all had so much fun. It was great to see how much Jemima loved getting into the water and playing on the sand and we can’t wait to take her soon to the real seaside. This is a great alternative if you can’t get away on holiday.

Although we had a fantastic time, we did arrive shortly after 9am and left at midday. The beach really filled up and when we left it was starting to feel too busy. So we do recommend arriving as early as you can. The prices in the shop for drinks were expensive, with a can of pop being £1.30.

We visited the ice cream van with all four of us having ice creams and that came to just over £10.00.

So, once inside the park it can get expensive, so we really do recommend taking your goodies with you.
