1. Cherry Reds Café, 88-92 John Bright St, Birmingham B1 1BN
Cherry Reds cafe is an independent bar on the gorgeous John Bright Street in Birmingham City Centre, a stone’s throw from New Street Station.
They focus on providing the best value for money without being stingy on portion size or dropping quality you should expect, such as local free-range eggs and homemade pancakes. They cater for all dietary requirements, too. Gluten-free? Vegan? They have pancakes for you, too.
With freshly blended milkshakes with real ice cream, freshly ground coffee, and alcoholic options, too. It’s a great all-rounder.
Walk-ins only.
For more details, check their website here: https://cherryreds.com/
2. Hart & Co Leamington, Augusta Place, CV32 5EL
A much loved family bar suitable for all ages.
Not only do they have a fabulous pancake menu with the tastiest of options, but they have a quirky cocktail menu and instagrammable venue too. You will be spoilt for choice.
Just which pancake will you decide on? You’ll need to book your table in advance for this venue as they’re sure to get booked up.

3. The Pear Tree Creperie, Heart of the Country Village, Swinfen, Nr. Lichfield, Staffordshire, WS14 9QR
“Savoury or sweet, you’re in for a treat” is the slogan from The Pear Tree Creperie and they’re 100% right. I’ve eaten here a few times but the foods so tasty I’ve eaten half of it before realising I’ve forgotten to take a photograph again.
The Pear Tree Crêperie is a French Crêperie with lots of character and a relaxed informal atmosphere. From the moment you walk through the doors, you will be welcomed by a friendly smile and service that is second to none.
They have a good range of sweet crepes;
There’s a number of really unique flavours, including a chicken tikka pancake. Take a look at the savoury options here;
And their children’s menu has a variety of choices too. They could even go for two courses. Starting with a savoury, followed by a sweet.

5. The Canal House, 12 Bridge St, Birmingham B1 2JR
If hanging kebabs are your thing, then the picturesque location of the Canal House makes for a great place to visit this pancake day (although at the time of posting this, they haven’t announced doing this again yet, so do double check).
Situated overlooking the canal network, you could have a walk down the canal and team your visit with a trip to local attractions, including Thinktank Science Museum, Legoland, or the Sealife Centre.

8. Pom’s Kitchen and Deli, 20-22 Bird St, Lichfield WS13 6PR
The best place for brunch in Lichfield so it would be unfair not to include the wonderful Poms in our pancake guide. Although not an extensive pancake menu (okay, just the one on the menu, but with seasonal menus, this could change for pancake day).
Pom’s is a great place to spend your pancake day indulging in a stack of pancakes. And for those with four-legged friends, dogs are welcome, too.

9. Strawberry Fields Farm, Coulter Ln, Burntwood WS7 9EY
If you’ve never been to Strawberry Fields Farm, now is the time. Many years ago, it was actually a strawberry picking Farm, but today, it’s an outdoor bistro with large heated bell tents to enjoy an array of food and drink options. It is incredibly popular, and you have to pre-book the bell tents as they go quite quickly.
The food is delicious, and they do a great choice of pancakes for pancake day.
Take a look at two of the pancake day menus.
Dogs are welcome too with their own special dog menu.

10. Bills, Bullring Shopping Centre Bullring, Middle Hall East, Birmingham B5 4BU
Thick and fluffy pancakes are Bill’s specialism. And being located in the centre of Birmingham makes it great for those who want to spend a day in the city.
Great for if you have a big appetite too as they do bottomless pancakes every day from 3pm to 5pm.

11. Boston Tea Party, The School Yard, 106 High St, Birmingham B17 9NJ
If you’ve followed our account for a while, you will know we love Boston Tea Party. They welcome dogs, are child/breastfeeding-friendly and have options to cater to all dietary requirements. The Harborne branch is located within a beautiful grade II listed building, which you know I love.
They don’t offer bookings, so it’s a first come, first served service style, which is great for those who like to decide what they want to do on the day and not plan in advance.
It’s not an extensive pancake menu (two options), but they’re very tasty and perfect for a pancake day treat.

12. Love Bread & Co, 60 Smith St, Warwick CV34 4HU
This hidden gem of a place deserves more visitors. Or actually, maybe I should keep quiet and keep it to myself?
Enjoy the ‘Pancakes Extraordinaire’ , deliciously fluffy pancakes served with crisp streaky bacon, fresh blueberries, maple syrup and a toasted walnut crumb. Delicious. You could even add in an egg.
