Becketts Farm Sunflower Field

Posted on 13/08/202006/03/2022

If you have been following me for a while, you will know I absolutely love a flower field.

Today we headed to Becketts Farm Sunflower Field. It is large and completely FREE to enter and look around. There’s no picking of the sunflowers at Becketts Farm, so don’t go expecting to pick your own. Lodge Farm in Kineton open in September for PYO Sunflowers at 50p a stem (check out our previous review of Lodge Farm HERE).

Becketts Farm is a perfect place to visit during the school holidays. The Sunflowers range in height, from 2ft up to at least 8ft in some cases, if not taller.

The girls loved finding little paths through the sunflowers, often leading to dead ends and they’d come running back.

For those worried about social distancing, it was easily maintained in the field and it wasn’t busy at all (but we did arrive early). Considering all of the storms and rain last night, the floor was dry and not muddy in the slightest. I probably would avoid taking a pram as the flooring is a little uneven and there are lots of sunflower stems on the floor which wheels might get stuck in.

We had a lovely morning. And got some really nice photos to print and put up in our house, so make sure you go armed with a camera. You might get to snap a picture of a butterfly or two too.

You could pop into Becketts Farm Shop after for fresh fruit, veg, cakes and meat,or stop off at their cafe. I hear that they are part of the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme too.

If you are hunting for the entrance, look for The American Golf shop. You will find the entrance to the fields, to the left of the shop.

You can find Becketts Farm in Wythall, just South of Birmingham. Do tag us in your pictures on instagram and facebook. We love to see you going to the places that we recommend.

Hi Rosalia. I am told the sunflower field is pretty much finished now. But if you would like a field that is full of beautiful sunflowers, Lodge Farm in Kineton has opened now and wouldn’t be too far for you to travel to from Solihull. You can pick these ones for 50p a stem too. Hope that helps. 🙂
